The team at Gotham Playgroup are dedicated to making your child grow.

To run this charity organisation we rely on highly qualified and experienced staff and an active Committee.

The Management of Gotham Pre-School Playgroup

The playgroup is a charity and as such is managed by a volunteer management committee - whose members are elected by the parents of the children who attend our setting. The elections take place at our Annual General Meeting. The committee is responsible for:

  • managing our finances;

  • employing and managing our staff;

  • making sure that we have, and work to, policies that help us to provide a high quality service; and

  • making sure that we work in partnership with parents.

 

The Annual General Meeting is open to all the parents and carers of the children who attend our setting and is held each year. It is our shared forum for looking back over the previous year's activities and shaping the coming year's plan. A list of the current committee members, and their roles, is included at the end of this prospectus. Parents, carers, grandparents and friends are all welcome at any of our fundraisers or at our meetings. We are always open to offers of help, ideas for activities, fund-raising suggestions and new committee members at any time of the year from parents, carers, grandparents and friends. Please feel free to speak to any of the current committee or a member of staff if you would like further information about joining the committee or offering to help at our fundraising events
